Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Review

Welcome to the project website for the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (EA) Review for the new interchange at Highway 400 / 6th Line in Innisfil, as shown in the key plan.
In 2017, the Town of Innisfil completed a Schedule ‘C’ Municipal Class EA for the proposed interchange at Highway 400 and 6th Line (as shown in the key plan). The project was cleared to proceed after an Environmental Study Report (ESR) received EA approval in 2017.
The Ontario Ministry of Transportation (MTO) is entering into a co-proponency with the Town to undertake a Municipal Class EA Review of the preliminary design for the new interchange. This review involves updating existing environmental conditions and determining whether any design changes to the proposed interchange are required.
The MTO retained Morrison Hershfield and HDR to undertake the review.
